5th MINORITIES ART FESTIVAL OF CHINA OPENS IN BEIJING

The 5th Minorities Art Festival of China kicked-off yesterday in Beijing. During the course of Monday, the rehearsal of  the opening ceremony was held at the Great Hall of the people.

The stage was set for a platform as the actors brought in different types of performances that are unique to their ethnic groups. In essence, the opening ceremony included dance performances, acrobatics, singing and other related ethnic-centered art. The spectators responded positively towards the opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony mainly focused on historical and modern events that happened in China. Songs and dances performed by the artists depicted stories of the local life of minority groups.

 

According to English.cctv.com – Ding Wei, Chief Director of 5th Minorities Art Festival of China stated: “Singers from five Chinese autonomous regions will jointly sing the song ‘Building our Chinese dreams together’, which is also the theme of the festival. And the dancers will wear the traditional costumes of the different ethnic groups”

It has been stated that roughly 35 representatives from across the country will partake in the festival. The festival is scheduled to run from August 16th, 2016 to September 14th, 2016.
