The Chinese CPF supported the march and occasionally tried joining in and singing.

Members of the community were also present and some were hooting and waving as they drove and walked past.

Pamphlets and magazines were handed out on to pedestrians, commuters and drivers as they went past in the hope of getting them more educated on how to handle crime and be more observant and cautious when suspecting criminal activity.

The members of the SAPS and members of the community were chanting songs against police killings, crime and woman abuse. One the songs “we will go report to the police station”, highlighting how silent woman are when it comes to being abused.
