Beijing Photo Week Exhibition

Beijing Photo Exhibition Week was held in Pretoria, as part of the “Year in China in South Africa”.

The exhibition was organised by Beijing Association for Cultural Exchange as part of a way to introducing China to South Africa. The purpose of the exhibition was to show case the “rich cultural heritage of Beijing as it prepares for the 2022 winter Olympics”.

Part of the exhibition focused on the role that China plays in South Africa. The Chinese embassy and National Library of South Africa were acknowledged for their enormous support towards Chinese projects.

The photo exhibition aimed at enhancing understanding of the Chinese and South African heritage and culture.

Vice President of the Beijing Association for Cultural Exchange Mr Zhao Weidong, Deputy Mayor of Beijing Municipality Mr Lin Keqing, representatives from the Department of Arts and Culture and National Library of South Africa. Dignitaries of the Chinese Embassy in South Africa were also present.
