China’s top legislator Zhang Dejiang will pay a visit to Africa from March 18 to 27.
The first stop of Zhang’s trip will be Lusaka. Zhang, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC), will attend the 134th IPU Assembly in the Zambian capital at the invitation of Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) President Saber Chowdhury.
Invited by Speaker of the Zambian National Assembly Patrick Matibini, Zhang will also pay an official goodwill visit to the country.
Following Zambia tour, Zhang will pay an official goodwill visit to Rwanda at the invitation of Rwandan Senate President Bernard Makuza and Speaker of Rwanda’s Chamber of Deputies Donatille Mukabalisa.
Zhang will also pay an official visit to Kenya at the invitation of Kenya’s Senate Speaker Ekwee Ethuro and Speaker of National Assembly Justin Muturi.
