Designer Gert-Johan Coetzee celebrated the world’s most precious resource with his brand new Autumn/Spring Collection for South African Fashion Week to raise awareness on our precious commodity.
“Water is the essence of life, and we should treat it as precious. My new collection came from that: it’s a celebration of water, bubbling and flowing along a riverbed, reflecting light, cascading down waterfalls” says the designer who has become known for incorporating social conscience into his glamourous designs.
Coetzee teamed up with Sony Mobile, and Ferrari which hosted his exclusive showcase at Scuderia Johannesburg in Bryanston.
The garments were accessorized with Swarovski Crystal droplets whilst the crowd was blown away by the denim skirt which was acid washed with embellished pockets.
Sony Mobile and Spree collaborated with Coetzee in creating the “Shop the Ramp” campaign, where the guests could immediately purchase selected items on Xperia Compact Z5s that were on standby. The audience at home could also buy the looks that caught their eye, which makes the collection accessible to everyone.
