The Chinese Community Police Forum Mpumalanga branch held their 2nd inauguration ceremony on the September 20 in Middleburg, Emalahleni.
Mr Chen Fuzhou was selected as the Chairman of the Mpumalanga Chinese CPF for the second time running. He vowed to continue uniting the community and give his undying support to the Police Service in order to conquer the fight against crime.
More than 300 people were present, including the ANC Youth League members, Home Affairs officers, Chief of Middleburg Police Station Brigadier Jansen, Police liaison officer Consular Wang Zhi Gang, first secretary Mr Zhu Di and other Chinese CPF branches.
Consular Wang Zhi Gang commended the excellent work and achievements made by the Mpumalanga Chinese CPF branch since their establishment two years ago. He wished the Chairman well and advised him to continue working with the police, home affairs office and get more involved with community projects. He also recommended that he establish a close relationship with other Chinese CPF branches around the country.
The consular also donated R50 000 on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in South Africa.
