The event was celebrated in style at the restaurant in down town Cyrildene. The event was graced with the presence of Chinese CPF members, Consular Generals from the Johannesburg district including Consular-General Mia and colonels from the SAPS office including Colonel Steers and Mkhwanazi. Alison Claire Roberts from the Cleveland CPF was also present as well as members of the community.
Chairman of SA Chinese CPF Mr NG said was very “appreciative” for the support he and his office has received from all spheres including the Consular generals from the SA Chinese embassy, SAPS and all associations of the Chinese community. He also added that “we would not have been able to achieve such high performance if it wasn’t for everyone’s support”.
Colonel Morake was also a speaker and he highlighted the good work that the Chinese CPF has done. He urged them on by saying “as the SAPS we need your assistance so you have our full support. We can’t be everywhere at the same time and your contributions are tremendous.”
He mentioned that the SAPS worked with businesses such as China Mall, China Mart and other small businesses within the Chinese community. He finished by saying “you are the eyes and ears of the police.”
